INTRODUCTION TO ISO ENVIRONMENTAL STANDARDS
QMII, in cooperation with the Virginia Tech - Center for Leadership in Global Sustainability, is now offering an online Introduction to ISO Environmental Standards course designed to introduce students to the latest updates to the Environmental Management System standard developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). ISO 14001:2015 Requirements for Environmental Management Systems, was updated in 2015 along with ISO 9001:2015 Requirements for Quality Management Systems. Many organizations are interested in applying these standards to their existing management systems. If you are currently working for an organization that is looking to improve its management system and become more environmentally conscientious, this class is for you!
The class is broken down into a series of modules that cover environmental, social and economic issues promoted by ISO. Each module is designed to familiarize students with the environmental best practices organizations need to incorporate into their management systems, to become compliant, or certified, to the new standards. When you have completed the course and the associated tests, you will receive a certificate of completion. This certificate verifies that you have completed the training and can be used to receive a discount, if you elect to take an addition lead auditor class from QMII.
